We are looking for an Outside Sales Associate to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The Outside Sales Associate’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients, and actively seek new sales opportunities. Outside Sales Associate responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives, and preparing sales reports. Outside Sales Associate answers client queries and identifies new business opportunities among existing customers. This position will require travel. If you are familiar with account management software (CRM), have a flair for client communication, and understand consumer behavior, we’d like to meet you. Candidates for this role will need to be ambitious and able to meet sales quotas. Ultimately, a successful Outside Sales Associate should collaborate with our sales team to achieve quotas while keeping our clients satisfied and engaged with our products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal management
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Prepare reports on account status
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities within the territory
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed

Skills

  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager, or relevant role
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Solid experience with MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field

Job Duties:

  • Manage multiple accounts, ensuring that a high level of customer retention and satisfaction is maintained
  • Meet monthly quotas
  • Engage with multiple customers on a daily basis by reaching out to new clients, and by developing campaigns for maintaining customer loyalty
  • Implement strategies for retaining customers requesting to terminate or downgrade their account
  • Record changes to customer accounts, updating service packages, adding accounts, and removing accounts as needed
  • Other duties as requested
